Remote Presentation Instructions

‘Please prepare a 20-minute high resolution video in mp4 format, with the slide shown at full screen, and the presenter as a small floating window in a corner. We recommend you use zoom. Please select ‘HD’ from ‘settings’->’video’->’camera’. The fonts (including the smallest ones) must be clearly visible when playing the video. Some reference of overlaying the presenter over slides can be found at https://www.reed.edu/cis/teaching-with-technology/video-recording-zoom-powerpoint-advanced.html.

The video MUST be named as ‘sessionID-paperID-[presenter-full-name]-[full-title]’ (e.g., “Session1A-333-John-Doe-The-greatest-distributed-computing-system-ever-invented”). It must be uploaded using the following google form by June 30th. You may need to log in with a google account to upload.

Video files not conformant to the required name format will NOT be accepted, and papers not presented will be excluded from the final proceedings.

The presenter must reach out to the session chair at least 3 days before the presentation, and send a brief introduction the session chair can use to introduce her/him.

The presenter must also join a zoom call at least 15 minutes before the session starts. At the end of the video, the presenter needs to answer questions from the audience during a 5 minute Q&A. The zoom call information will be available later.
